Biography
Michael J. Snider, Esq.Mr. Snider graduated with Honors from the University of Maryland School of Law at Baltimore in 1996. He was honored by earning the Corpus Juris Secundum award for outstanding work and the highest available grade in Civil Procedure. During law school, he served an Asper Fellowship as a law clerk to Hon. Paul Alpert, who was a sitting Judge on the Maryland Court of Special Appeals. Mr. Snider formed Snider Law Offices in 1996, was a partner in the Law Offices of Snider & Fischer, LLC from 2002 to 2005, and formed the Law Offices of Snider & Associates in July 2005. Mr. Snider served a term as General Counsel and a member of the Board of Directors for the Federally Employed Women's Legal and Education Fund (FEW LEF)
Mr. Snider is or has been a proud member of the American Bar Association (ABA), Maryland State Bar Association (MSBA), Metropolitan Washington Employment Lawyers Association (MWELA), Association of Trial Lawyers of America (ATLA), National Employment Lawyers Association (NELA), Industrial Research Relations Association (IRRA) and the Society of Federal Labor and Employment Relations Professionals (SFLERP).
Over the years of his practice of law, Mr. Snider has taught training courses for Unions and their members in the areas of grievances, arbitrations, EEO and MSPB hearings and appeals and has handled numerous individual employment matters. He was a featured speaker at the January 2002 Baltimore Chapter of IRRA, the November 2003 Washington, DC chapter meeting of SFLERP, the FEW DC Metro Region - Regional Training Program, November 3-4, 2004 and the Federally Employed Women's National Training Program in Reno, Nevada on July 21, 2005.
